Need help

I need help id'ing an old side by side that has been in my family for a long time.

It is old and looks to be in bad shape, and all the info I can find on it is (Irving Gun Co) marked on the top of the barrels. I am trying to find out what years this company was building these guns and where to find the serial number on it so I can maybe find an exact date of manufacture. Also would like to find out how much it is worth, and if it isnt much then who could refinish it and the price that would cost.

pull the forearm off and look on the bottom side of the barrels

that is what i was going to say.that is where i found my on my lc smith.

Yeah, me, too! If it's not stamped obviously, you can often find something useful under the "covers".

"Irving" is familiar, but I'm no historian...
