I'm interested in buying a Browning and was looking at the A Bolt, then noticed they have started producing an X Bolt. Not sure of the differences except that the X Bolt tends to be cheaper. Anyone out there know any differences? Which one is better?
Thanks

Bengal,

The A bolts have to have the safety modified to open the bolt with the safety engaged. The X bolt has a better trigger, a 60 degree bolt handle that can be opened with the safety on, and 4 scope base mounting screws on each base instead of the normal 2.

Thanks for the reply. Can you get the BOSS system on both? Is the BOSS worth the extra money?

Unless changes have been made, Browning does not offer a stock X bolt with the BOSS system. IMO, it is not worth the extra money. Either model of the rifle is capable of a MOA right out of the box which is an inch group at 100 yards. How much tighter group is the extra money worth to you?
