I was out deer hunting Thursday and today. Thursday, I saw black ears, first thought it was a black bear, then it stood up and turned out to be a black coyote. Had it in my crosshairs, but I didn't take the shot. Figured he was out hunting too. Are those things rare?

Then today, I was hunting the same area and accidentally stalked my way up on a huge bobcat. Scared the crap out of me. Took a knee and put my crosshairs on it, but, again didn't shoot. Figured it was hunting too.

AND didn't see a damn deer. Go figure.

What are your feelings on killing bobcats and black coyotes. Are they worth anything? I'm a deer guy myself.

Can't sell either of them. Only use is to mount them. Personally, I don't shoot the cats!

Thanks. Then I'm glad I let them walk. In case any of you want them, they are located in Stones Creek public game land (middle portion).
