December Hunting Story

I'd love to tell you guys a good huntin story but I'd have to make up a lie to do it! Hunting is sucking so far!

I've had my share of "No Deer in Sight" days, and I'm sure I don't have the "Primo" spot, but I've still gotta tell ya I'm lovin every chance I get to get out there!

Even yesterday afternoon; no deer in sight, and the squirrels can be pretty annoying, having them making such a racket was kind of cool. Some of them were so close they made me wonder if they were going to run up MY tree! I figure they must've been holed up with the weather lately or knew this cold snap was coming or something 'cause they were BUSY!

I think I've got some hawks stalking my corn, too. Most every day I can get out I see them zig-zagging up through from tree to tree right over the corn and out to the bean field. They always seem to patiently work into the wind. Definitely interesting to watch!

Must be my different circumstances, but I've got nothing to complain about!
