my buddy randy got away from here friday and went to delway to hunt a couple days.saturday morning after daylight he had a big ole nanny walk out in the field and he decided to take her out.after the shot of the rifle the deer fell dead in the field and he just basically sat in the stand to see if something or anything else would come out.a few minutes later he had a 6pointer walk out across the field and approach the doe[the buck was not the one he wanted to fill his hunting club tag with,they only shoot 1 buck a year each at this club].after watching for a lil while he said the buck went over to the dead doe and started to push and pawl her as if he was trying to get her to stand up!!! i told him she must have been "hot" and he was "ready"!!he said this went on for an hour and a half and the buck would not leave her alone!!he finally had to call one of the other guys up there and get him to drive his truck in the field to spook the buck away so he could get down out of the stand!!! would have been a good time to have had a camera!

i had a chance to go to delway with randy yesterday.as we were riding around we came up on a little food plot and i could see the stand at the other end.while driving through i noticed a big place tore all too pieces and was wondering what in the world could have done that?bucks fighting perhaps??i didn't know.then randy got laughing a little bit and said that that was where he shot the doe and the buck was messing with her.there was a place as big around as the back of a full size truck that was nothing but dirt and hair from the doe!!! randy made the comment that he was going to start carrying his camera again.i would have liked to have seen that one way or the other!!
