Bear And Bait

Today is the big day for all of the local bear hunters. This is just a reminder for all you guys that bear cannot be taken on or near your corn pile. Don't be tempted by Yogi just because he's been carrying off all your cob corn!

Speaking of which; it looks like I've got a little bear sign around my pile today! Surprised me a bit, to say the least! I haven't seen ANY other sign around, but I haven't been poking around too awful much, either.

I've been carrying a little digital camera (just in case... Hey, you never know!). I'd love to get a pic of one from my stand, even if it is just a little one, which is what I think. Smallish track, pretty small scat pile; acorns, some other kind of "nut" (pecans, shells and all?), some small red berries and a lot of "greens". Just the one, from what I could see. Again, don't want to poke around too much just now.

Next thing you know, I'll have some those wild boars that are supposed to be in my neighborhood show up! I hope I'll be quick enough for one of them, if they do!!
