I am thinking of getting into reloading. I like the idea of being able to reload my own ammo that is more accurate and cheaper than factory ammo. I just wanted to ask a few questions from some of you guys who know a lot more about it than me. I am basically going to be reloading rifle rounds. What are your recommendations as far as equipment goes? I'm not afraid to spend more money to get more quality, I plan on using this equipment for a long time. I see all kinds of different brands of kits for sale on different websites but I don't know the difference between them. What extra add-ons do I really need? Such as digital powder scale, etc. Also which kind of tumbler do you recommend? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

My recommendation is to get an RCBS Rock Chucker kit. It is ideal for many years of loading.

I'm with Doghunter on this. The single stage kit is the way to go. It has all you need to start except for dies. RCBS has a no BS warranty and outstanding customer service. I've had die parts replaced for free. But it can be real intimidating in the beginning with the amount of stuff people are trying to sell you. Think of it like this. All car manufacturers lure you in with some selling point...speed, gas mileage, sales data, or some such thing. Each vehicle will get you where you want to go. Each has pro's and con's. But I dare say that RCBS is an industry leader and produces fine rugged long lasting equipment.
You honestly don't need all the electronic gadgets. A good balance scale that comes in the kit will do you fine for many, many, MANY years to come. And a kit is were you can save some money. If you had to piecemeal it together like I did? I dare say I spent lots more money before I found out.
There are a number of great reloading websites that will help you acheive the goal you've set for yourself. If you need anything please feel free to ask.
