I use the .30-30 mostly, but now I have a .308 and a .243 so maybe that will change some!

The poll is not fair I use all the above depending on the day and hunting style.

Well It is fair to me, I've only used a few of them but the one I use the most is a Winchester Model 94 in .30-30 Win. But most have their usefulness, although it is hard to beat a .25-06 or a .270 as a bean field rifle (non-magnum of course) Magnums I would take the .300 WSM or 7mmWSM. That 7mm WSM is wicked in the Browning A-Bolt.

i love my 7mm rem mag with the hornady 139btsp for shooting distance,open fields and such,the .308 for woods hunting and i have really come to love my h&r ultra slug gun,20ga 3",for hunting the thick swamps.1oz slug is phenonamal for those thick places where i am shooting 100 yds or less.just my 2 cents worth

OH MY - a poll on deer rifle cartridge, and the 30-30 isn't one of the choices? Whaaaaat?

Put me down as 30-30. I've owned .270, 30-06, couple muzzleloaders, some milsurp rifles... but for deer in middle/eastern NC, a 30-30 is golden. Easy on the ears and shoulder, deadly on deer to as far as I really ought to be shooting them (200 yards) and cheap ammo. Plus there's the added benefit of confounding those who pick their rifles by studying a ballistics chart. And a Marlin 336 is just so pretty..

Good Looking Deer! I hunt with a Win 94 in .30-30. I love it! Congrats on the deer.

i use a 30-30 and 30-06 use both guns which ever had gets to first use winchester supreme ammo in both and have had good luck with it they drop where they stand
