Where's the best place to shoot in Eastern NC? I'm in Jacksonville, and I've seen Flatwoods, B&R, and The Sportsmans Lodge, none of which I consider "good."

Unless you are willing to drive longer distances...like to Wilmington to try another indoor pistol range or Blackwater in Moyock...you got it as far as I know. Not sure what you consider 'good' and/or why you do not consider them good...

Beemer? Unless I have missed something new the only one I know of is Flatwoods out in Hubert for the Jacksonville area. The benches are covered and it is up to a 200 yard range. If not mistaken Flatwoods charges $15 a person to shoot for the day.

RenegadeRN: You remembered one correctly!

Flatwoods is still $15, etc., etc.. I was out there today.

I really like shooting at paradise hunting preserve right outside of vanceboro. it is a very nice 150yd range with coverd benches. $15 bucks to shoot, you just put your money in the box and shoot all you want.

I don't know how far any of you want to drive but there is a great outdoor range here in Goldsboro. It is called ENC Firing Range. It is about 2 miles off of Hwy 111 just south of Goldsboro. I'm not a member there yet but I have some friends who are. I've visited it a couple of time though and it seems nice. They have a steel plate pistol range, pistol booths, and 50 100 and 275 yard rifle ranges. I think they also have a skeet shooting area, nothing fancy though. When I last checked yearly membership was around $125 not sure but I think daily is $20. The rifle ranges had lead sleds and spotting scopes to use.
