Anyone seen any primers in local stores? I've been from Kenansville to Kinston and Jacksonville area and beyond looking in local outdoors stores for handgun and rifle primers to no avail. I realize there are some who say there is a backlog, but the big name online stores have them in and have for awhile.
Does anyone else think these local stores are trying to rid themselves of their inventory because it isn't cost effective to maintain them? Yesterday I saw some plain jane 30-06 dies for almost $50 that can be found other places for $20 less! But beyond that little off soapbox tirade...just looking to find some primers.

I haven't been able to run over to Flatwoods. It's almost 50miles from where I live. But still haven't found anything in any local stores, but there are a few online stores that have them...like Cabela's, etc.

For those of you who reload...especially small rifle types? Primers are in at Eastern Outfitters! (Selection of powders is lacking so far) They only have a small selection, but enuff to get ya through. At present they only have CCI's.
1. Small rifle primers
2. BR Large rifle primers
3. Large Magnum pistol primers
Its a start. They are limiting everyone to 5 boxes...i.e. 500 primers. So...if you have been planning on learning to reload, now is the time to get started. Fall is almost here. The dove season opener is Sat. Big game is right around the corner AND I learned that Coyote season is ALL year long.

Four Seasons in Goldsboro had some primers this summer, but limited to 2 boxes per type per visit. LR, SR, LP and SP and some match and magnums. They are on Ash St .
I got on Midwayusa.com and set up an email reminder, they emailed me when they got primers in and I ordered 5000 LR and 5000 Small rifle. Still wating on Small pistol to come in. They Hazmat fee is $25 or somethin like that so go in with a friend and do a bulk order.
