i hate to post this because im sure you guys hear it a lot, but im new to the sport and i have some questions. i noticed in the nc wildlife site that it says no season for coyotes. now what does this technically mean? do i need a regular hunting license, do i need any license? whats the deal here because its very vague. do the same rules apply as with hunting other animals like no taking them during sundown? i read on here that you cant spotlight so thats about all i know. thanks for the help.

A license is required. There is no "Closed Season" on a coyote in NC except on Sunday, no hunting allowed except with a bow.. They may be taken with the aid of an electronic call. They can be hunted at night, but without a light. In other words, a bright moonlight night etc. would be legal. Other than that, they are fair game year round. Welcome to the forum!

Blaze orange is not needed when hunting coyotes.
Hunter or Blaze Orange
Any person hunting bear, wild
boar, rabbit, squirrel, grouse, pheasant and quail with the use
of firearms must wear a cap or hat made of hunter-orange
material or an outer garment of hunter orange visible from all
sides. Anyone hunting deer during a deer firearms season,
regardless of weapon, must wear hunter orange.
