Does anyone happen to cast lead bullets for handgun and rifle?

I have for about 8 years. What would you like to know?

LongShot...I have about 20-25lbs of wheel weights. I've had them for years thinking I would get into casting. BUT if I was going to I prolly already would have. So they are taking up space and I figured that someone could use the wheel weights and maybe I could trade for some cast bullets.

I get all the wheel weights I could ever need from local tire shops for free. That said, you really should give it a shot. Buy a cheap lee mould and pot and tumble lube your bullets. You should be able to get into it for under $60. While Lee equipment is not the best, it will give you an idea if casting is for you. I think if you try it you will find it both satisfying and addictive. Nothing like shooting ammo you loaded for less than a nickle a round!

To add to the subject of free wheel weights from local tire shops...that option won't be available for long. The wheel and automotive industries are switching from lead wheel weights to another type of metal. Many states are banning the use of lead wheel weights. Get the free or cheap lead while you can, as I don't see it being around more than another year or so at best.
