Bear hit in Hamspstead

A buddy and me were on our way SC to "make a purchase" on Thursday. When we got to Hampstead my buddy staring yelling "That's a F'in bear!" He's from Boston and the only bear he's ever seen is the mascot for the Boston Bruins. It was a good sized bear, it looked like a guy had hit it with his truck. He and a police officer were standing next to it. To bad he didn't make it to hunting season. Last season there were 14 bears killed on base at Camp Lejeune and every one of them was hit by a car. Maybe I'm hunting them the wrong way.

I saw one a month or so back on 17 about three or four miles from Piney Greene. Not a big bear, but not a cub. It was in the median.

They tend to been seen there often from what I hear but I have yet to see one. Hell just the other day a guy I know had one run in front of his truck right by where I work.

Must be the time of year, but they are raiding Trash Cans all around.
