Sorry to hear about that Buckhunter. Some dogs are a blessing from God. No other way to describe it. I know you're going to miss him, so hang in there.d

Sorry to hear your loss. I have also lost a dog that meant a lot to me. Hell, he was closer to me than most of my friends and about half my family.

We have many acquaintances that come in our life, we have very few friends....and even fewer best friends. Words that I would offer could not come close to helping or comprehending what agony you must be feeling. As I type this...I have a black lab, Titan, k that I am not sure how I am going to act (most likely like you are) when he leaves. I hope and pray there is a Dog Heaven for those wonderful best friends because they deserve it.

I too lost my close buddy, my Rottie Hoagy last year. I have a tat of him on the outside of my left leg in rememberance of him. so I know where you are comming from, they are family, and it hurts, but the fun times will stay in your memories.

I am sad to hear this.....I know HOW close you can be to. Closer than people in alot of ways. All they want from you in your approval and to satisfy you it seems. No matter what, they just love you. I have buried a few beagles in VERY recent years that we had raised from pups and had some "bless" us for over 14 years. We didn't have "human" children so they were OUR KIDS. Trust me when I tell you that I truly feel your pain. You are right, that nothing will replace your loss, but as I told a dear friend of mine who had recently lost a poodle pal of hers....You aren't trying to replace him, just fill the void and keep his memory alive. She has told me that she sees SO many of the characteristics and qualities showing up in her new poodle pup that her 14 year buddy had ,that he'll always be there now, even if through her new pup. Just don't forget your friend!

Sorry for your loss. Days like this are hard to get through. Try to focus on all the good memories. Hang in there.

Sorry to hear about your loss buckhunter. If your this upset about his passing I can only assume that he did have a lot better life than a lot of dogs do.

I know your pain & extend my sympathies....had to bury MY yellow lab last year after having him put down when the cancer got too bad. Greatest dogs in the world IMHO. He lives on through one of his chocolate pups that I have now. Again.......sorry for your loss.
