Beautiful Cat. I love bobcats. I've always been fascinated by them. They are great animals. Would love to get one and have it done up by a taxidermist.

Make sure you see one that they have done before, bobcats are really hard to mount and look right. The hair just won't sit right and also the muscle will look a little off, also the ears look funny.

Yeah I know they are tough to mount. They are awesome when done right though.

Could be a housecat/bobcat mix. My uncle had a huge old tomcat years ago that he claimed was a cross between a housecat and a bobcat, but I don't know for a fact if that's biologically possible or not. Don't see why not though. It doesn't look like a jaguar or a leopard to me, but I'm not exactly Jack Hanna either.

ITS THE BEAST OF BLADENBORO!!!!!! I don't know for sure what it is. It looks like a bobcat but it also looks a lot like an ocelot or puma. Wish we could see its tail.

That was the only pic I got of it. It was on a trail that runs perpendicular to a stream bed. My feeder was in the direction that it is looking. I figure it was watching/stalking what ever was feeding.

From looking around I've come to a conclusion. It looks like you may have a very young cougar. Cougars are spotted when they are young and as they get older the spots fade away. Either that or some kind of cougar hybrid, but I'm no expert so I could be way off, lol.

I just e-mailed the picture to an Associate Wildlife Biologist I know. Maybe we'll get a definite answer soon, lol.

Ok guys, just got an answer back from the biologist. He said that it is definitely a bobcat. He said that they can be that spotted and more. He also said that sometimes they don't grow the long thick tufts on the sides of their faces or ears.

Actually, I believe it is a panther. Not all panthers are black. They also come with spots like a jag or a leopard. can't see if there's a tail or not, but my guess is, Panther. Rare find there.....
