I encourage everyone who is a member of this forum to visit the website ncwildlife.org and check out the new program that the NCWRC has initiated to introduce new hunters to the sport we all love. It follows along one of the thoughts that I expressed in other posts.....the future of our sport hinges on recruiting new hunters to our ranks....particularly YOUTH. I signed up this morning and encourage the rest of you to at least consider doing the same. details are fully included on the site..............I also would like to see you to share your thoughts on this program on this thread.....thanks

ive had the privilege to being there for 3 young hunters first deer and have to say nothing compares to it
i have killed a few nice bucks over the years and i was more excited over their deer than any of mine
my son was 6 yrs old and killed his first doe with a 410(still hunting)
my nephew was 13 and killed his first buck(5pointer)still hunting
my buddy's nephew was 11 or 12 and killed his doe 12 guage buckshot (running dogs)
they each can think back a remember their hunt
IM LUCKY TO BE ABLE TO THINK BACK ON ALL 3
