This is the results of the MOST rabbits I have ever found to run..IN MY LIFE, and I AM OLD! We took 9 rabbits in 4 1/2 hours of running....one race lasted 50 minutes (with the expected checks and so forth occurring). We DON'T JUMP SHOOT rabbits, they run at least one "lap"! The 10th rabbit was after the lunch break a friend cast his beagles, and I shot one in front of his. This was in Kenansville, NC. The dogs sure enjoyed the reward of rabbits to run, compared to what I had found for them.

That sounds like it was a lot of fun, plus you've got some good eating to do. I love rabbit hunting I just don't have any dogs.

Thanks for the replies....It is DIFFICULT to find rabbits to run..especially hard to find them to shoot. You can't shoot them but once, and you can run them over and over. It's hard when you finally do find a few to shoot 'em is what I am trying to say. This place shoulda' had a fence around it...it coulda' been a rabbit pen.

i know you had a goooood time.maybe we can get together next year and do some after deer season goes out.i have access to farms in sampson and green counties.most rabbits i ever seen was on a farm in clinton year and a half ago,we seen over 100 in the fields riding around after dark.never got to go rabbit hunting there though.

NOW you tell me!!!!!! LOLOLOL That would be great. After listening to your ethics I think it'd be a pleasure to hunt by you! That may be an option for many that have leases and are interested in some "after deer season" hunting. Naturally I AM VERY curious over my beagles so far as safety....We use .410's to make it "sporting" and it also increases the safety factor. Keep it in mind.

NO time like the present....Your biggest expense is the shock collars....YOU HAVE to have them now....too much "off game"....out there. Then the dogs..I have some guys who'll sell dogs..from registered to grade dogs. I ain't much into "papers" myself...I have one that is registered (don't have the papers)but all but one of the rest are off registered stock..the owners just didn't regisiter the litters...Not a big deal unless you want to sell puppies and make money, which I ain't into breeding anymore. Just holler if you're ready to get INTO it.....lol. You'd be cheaper off to just go with a buddy....lolololololol.

LOL...DON'T let those pictures mislead you!!!!! You DO have an idea of how long sitting, trips, years, work/preparation it took I trust. If you are half my age, you hain't got that long left...LOLOLOLOL You know I am joking about your longivity, I trust???? Bunnies would be a whole lot easier to produce for me than what I could produce for you..and I sure would hate to take "advantage" of you! I think I am gonna go turn out now....I have been waiting for the wind to lay a little...all day long. I have two 5 month old puppies that I have to get started...............LOVE IT!
