Went calling by myself a few days ago in between the down-pours and had luck on my second stand. I was calling an open area. Very wet out!!!
Time of Day: 0900
Temp: 50 Deg
Wx: Winds calm
Time on set: > 2 min
Distance of shot: 15 yards
Location: open field
Call used: Dan Thompson PC-2
Wpn: Benelli Super Nova 12 gauge, Carlsons Dead Coyote Choke tube, Dead Coyote T shot
Camo: Mossy Oak one-piece coveralls
This was my second of 4 stands of the day. I sat down and gave it a minute then started calling. I called on that PC-2 for a good 30-45 seconds, put the call down and started scanning. Looked over to my left and at 15 yards a cat was standing there. Never did see her come in. My guess is that it was bedded down close to my stand. Hard to say. Anyway, swung the Benelli on her and dropped her. Small cat but nice coat. First time drawing blood with the Benelli. I decided not to keep it since I have two cats already at the taxidermist an they are at least twice the size of this one. The other stands for the day produced nothing. Waited until I got home so the wife-unit could take some pics.

Not doing bad in the cat department. This makes 6 cats called, 5 cats shot in the last 12 months. Persistance and patience is the key!
