Good Morning All,
I've been casually predator hunting for a couple of years, (collecting lotsa toys, but no fur) and I happened to luck up on this site. Thanks for the opportunity to learn from you.
I see lots of call lanyards for predator hunting and have used some. Right now I'm just using my turkey vest to carry hand calls, e-caller remote, decoys, etc. along with a couple of the single call lanyards to hold the calls I'm using while in a set.
What do you prefer to carry your calls and why?

I only carry a couple of mouth calls and my e-caller. The only reason I carry the mouth calls is to be able to legally call a bobcat or fox while I'm, out. After cat and fox seasons are out, I only carry the e-caller. I carry the nouth calls on a lanyard so they can be dropped out of my mouth without hand movement and the risk of them falling on the ground etc. Opinions varu but I don't know of many folks that use an e-caller and mouth calls for coyotes unless their call library is limited. If sufficient challenge, distress, prey, and coaxer calls are in the e-caller library, the mouth calls are just extra gear to haul for me. There are some hunters who use an e-caller to get the animal coming then a mouth coaxer to close the distance. It's really a matter of preference I think. I don't believe it has much bearing on the hunter's success.

being I, myself am not much of a predator hunter (yet), I don't have much experience with e-calls. However, I would assume mouth calls, much like duck or goose calls, would be strung around the neck for easy access.
Now for my turkey calls, I carry 3 at a time in my mouth, 2 in the "gerbil" pockets in my cheeks, one on the tongue.

Now that is skill that you have to be born with, that can't be taught. I myself would end up choking to death in the woods in full camoflauge. They would have to wait a few days and follow the circling vultures to find my body.

I went to the local Walmart and found several sized padded bags to choose from in the PHOTO/CAMERA department. I chose one large enough to handle the e-caller, head strap light, decoy (predator enticer), extra head net and glovesand the remote. Didn't cost nearly what it would if youhad shopped in the hunting section. It has a long strap and is black....you can hide it behind a tree or something...I have even left it at the foot of the decoy and caller to "enhance" their size....Hope this gives you an idea. NOBODY I knew or heard of was doing this calling when I got started around here.....I spent alot of brain cells ( I now have 3 left..lol) trying to think of "affordable" ways to get it done. I want to try to save others the grief and trouble I went through to get started.
