I have a couple hundred empty 30-06 cases and am interested in reloading for coyotes. I normally relaod 165 bullets for deer. Does anyone have any recommendations for a good coyote load? I normally reload with IMR 4064. I shoot a Remington 700 BDL if that helps.....

I would use the lightest .30 caliber bullet I could find personally. The 30.06 is in no way an ideal varmint rifle due to the ballistics and the recoil. The lighter the bullet you load with, the less recoil you'll have. 100 grain will probably be about the lightest weight you can find readily available in a .30 caliber. Keep in mind that most of the varmint rifles are in .223, 204 etc. and shoot from a .32 gr to around 65 gr. bullets. Also, a 30.06 will tear a coyote all to pieces so your hides will be no good.

Everybody needs an excuse to buy another rifle, get a 25 06 and neck those 30 06 cases down, so can load a Varmint load.
