New To Area

Hey all, I'm new to the area but not the game. I'm thinking about going to Croatan National Forest, I'm pretty sure I know what I need to kill them legally but wanted to check with experience. What kind of licenses do I need, (active duty, so I'm a "resident").

Welcome to the site, a bunch of us are active duty on here as well. I normally just get the sportsman's license. It has all of your big game tags, HIP certification, and your fresh water fishing license, I also added the Saltwater license to it as well. I believe it was a total of $70.00. On game lands after the deer season you can only use rimfire rifles, and I forget the type of shot you can use, but it is in the Rules book.
