Where is your favorite local outdoor store? Now not where you wish you could buy but folks you spend your money with. I only shop walmart on end of season stuff. I do like Dicks sporting goods in Jacksonville but have only bought firearms from them. Any other out of the way hot spots anyone has found?

I know several guys that shop at Neuse in Kinston...I'm going to have to see for myself what all the hype is about.

Yes I too heard Neuse is a good shop. I go to wal-mart, Dick's, and Eastern Outfitters. The Annex Exchange on Lejeune has some good stuff sometimes.

I have shopped at Neuse Sport Shop for many years. I love the after Christmas sales most stuff is 30-50% off then.
WT's guns in Goldsboro has a nice selection of goods but I find their gun prices are on the high side.
Wild Indian Gun Shop in Goldsboro is good to deal with.
Goshen Supply in Beulaville has a good selection plus hound supplies. Frank has his days but you just have to know him. He is a great guy once you get to know him.
I like eastern outfitters been to the one on 24 they do have some good prices and great selection.
There is a small store in Chinquapin Hwy 41 called The Outdoor Store I have yet to check out but have been meaning to.

I go to Bighorn Outfitters in Greenville, Adventure Outdoors in Washington, but for ammo I'm a Walmart fan. I'm done with Mackey's in Jamesville, their prices are ridiculous. If you are looking for used firearms try Doc's Guns and Pawn on Memorial Drive in Greenville. It's like a museum in there and the collector guns are EXPENSIVE, but fun to look at. Doc's also has a huge selection of hunting rifles and handguns as pretty fair prices for used guns. I just bought two singleshot shotguns for 69.00 each, both good guns. I might have been able to get them cheaper in the bargain trader, but I think the price was fair. I haven't checked out his other rifles, but it's worth a trip just to check out the inventory. He's got everything from original Harper's Ferry pre-civil war muskets to original Colt Model 1873 SA revolvers. He also has a huge selection of modern handguns, rifles and shotguns and if you need some used holsters he has plenty of those. I bought a mint condition leather double speedloader carrier for five bucks there. It's a fun place to go kill an hour or two. It's located on Memorial Drive near the 5th Street intersection.
I like Wal Mart Prices also, but don't buy much ammo except 22lr, hand load most of the rest, buy a lot of Reloading Supplies and some ammo from Bryant's Gun & Pawn in Lumberton, great supply of shotguns and rifles, also has a large supply of handguns. Good prices on guns and ammo, has the best supply of reloading supplies in the area.

Mace Sporting Goods in Mebane NC (Orange County) they have a good selection of stuff and a pretty knowledgeable staff. I've bought a number of guns there both used and new and never had a problem. I'll admit that most of my hunting stuff I do buy on line and it's with Cabela's.

Anywhere but Dick's. I'd rather chew off my own toes than buy so much as bellybutton lint from a Dick's.

If any of you guys are ever in Pender County look up Rocky Point Auto Parts on NC 210. He has a huge walk in safe with a little bit of everything, from revolvers to glocks and 1911s to ARs and AKs, and a bunch of hunting rifles and shotguns. His prices are about the cheapest I've found. Alot of ammo and some reloading supplies. I believe he's closed most weekends because of selling at gun shows. The store is in the 19000 block of NC 210, about 5-6 miles west of US 117.
