View Full Version : Homemade Shooting Sticks

These are some great sticks I made out of a couple of 3/4 inch dowel rods, a 1/4 inch bolt with a wing nut, 18 inches of 3/16 nylon rope, 4 crutch tips, and a piece of scrap leather. The width of the opening/height is adjusted by sliding the rope up or down the legs!

Cool. I was wanting to see how the leather was attached. I think I am going to make a pair for myself.

I failed to mention that I coated these sticks with a couple of coats of spray type polyurethane. To be honest, I actually like them better than the Stoney Point telescoping aluminum ones I have. these adjust much faster and grip the rifle a little tighter The weight is about the same and these don't make your hands cold in the winter if you happen not to be wearing gloves.:scared0018:
