This post is for the upcoming shoot. Please list your weapons / firearms. What type of ammunition you will be using Factory or Hand loads.
Doghunter posted:
“I would like for everyone to post what caliber of rifle you are bringing to the shoot and whether you are shooting factory or hand loaded ammo. Also, if factory, what brand and type. Please be specific. Further, please specify what type of groups you feel you are capable of shooting with those firearms. We will provide targets based on your answers.
I would also like to see some factory ammo fired behind your handloads for those that are loading their own ammo.”
This post it to organize information for the members that are putting on the shoot. Please keep your post just on the subject of what you plan to bring.
For those of you who have a hard time understanding, do not discuss or start conversations on what you plan to bring and how cool it is, put that somewhere else.
Please also include the distances at which you prefer to shoot.
Thank you

FYI!
I have a fixed, heavy wooden, custom built shooting bench on my range. It will accomodate left or right handed shooters. It is anchored in the ground by its 3- 8"x 8" legs. My range will accomodate shots out to a bit over 350 yards and is measured to 350 yards in 50 yard increments with range stakes. If you desire to shoot further, please PM me and I can place some additional targets out to roughly 900-1000 yards. However, a portable bench will be used for these shots. The reasons behind requesting the info is to allow us to offer as much variety in our targets as possible. Hopefully, we will have the Shoot N See type as well as standard range targets.
For all that are interested, we will be offering a few door prizes for those who wish to enter a drawing for them. An entry fee will be determined at the shoot. A couple of the prizes will be the Bull Bags shooting rests!

Not sure what shape I'll be in, but I'll be there. ("Physical" shape. I WILL be sober, manxx!)
Plan to shoot my Taurus 24/7 in .40S&W (factory), probably bring a couple .22 pistols, too.
I'll bring my Rem 7600 in .270 if manxx wants to look at it... lol
I actually DO still have a couple of old longbows around, but I think I'll have to build a jig and make some stings if you want me to bring them. Arrows may be a challenge...! A chance of a few cedar, maybe. lol

Spoke too soon about the longbows; flexed them each a little bit today and found BOTH are cracked! Not much more than firewood now!

man, that stinks.... I have a 1950's Bear that did the same. Now it just hangs on the wall as a memory.

Oh, I've "blown up" a bunch of "modern bows", these were handmade, traditional, no shelf... Not real old, but pretty old. I was bummed!
