i spend many mornings during this season in the water, the cold weather has really pushed the ducks in since mid november.. i cant answer on wether the ducks have moved into the big waters,90 percent of my hunting is in beaver ponds and flooded timber. the mallards, teal and woodies have really improved according to my most recent hunt this morning. again, cold weather is the key here..

I commercial fish and have been seeing many many ducks gathering in Northeast Creek and the main run of New River in between Wallace Creek on up to the high rise. They have been staying far off shore though. I think they figured out where some of the blinds are and have been avoiding the area. The last day I was in that area was this past Friday morning, they were there. I haven't seen any on the White Oak though.

The best place ive found is on mainside lejeune..Get a base license and check out the area GI...You'll limit out almost every morning ..woody's,mallards,mergansers.Im telling yall this cus im leaving NC,and i figured some1 else could benefit as well as i did this season. If any of you want more precise directions to the spots i hunted just let me know on here and ill get back to ya.

Well ,i told every1 id tell them where my spot is on Lejeune so here it is.Check into area GI, get on LZ gull rd,Right before you get to the LZ (a big open field) theres a path/road that breaks right (id say 20yds before your in the Field) drive down until you hit hardwoods and on both sides you'll have flooded marsh, and more ducks flying in than you can imagine. This flooded marsh isnt a lil' 20 yd in diameter spot, its huggge. Well anyone who takes this advice will be very happy and i wish yall the best of luck.

Wish I could. Sounds like one H E double toothpicks of a spot. But I'm sure there's a few folks can take advantage of the heads up on a great spot. Thanks for passing it along. Good luck and Godspeed to ya! Keep the powder dry and best of luck in your travels.
